One of my more right-wing relatives is constantly circulating things they believe implicitly from the various super conservative websites. The latest example being a complete misstatement of a NY Times article. What I received on the FB page came with the headline:“George W. Bush’s Reputation Restored… NY Times Reveals WMDs Found In Iraq”. If you go to that website, there are all sorts of comments about Obama, Kool-Aid drinkers and Libtards, but of course no one has read the original article, they are just obsessing amongst themselves and reinforcing their already cemented beliefs based on a headline.
Now if you do go to the original NY Times article, the headline is The Secret Casualties of Iraq’s Abandoned Chemical Weapons and the sub-message in a long piece about inadequate treatment of military injuries to 17 men is that these weapons were not part of an active arsenal. They were remnants from Iraq’s arms program in the 1980s during the Iran-Iraq war not the feared WMD’s that supposedly caused the SHOCK AND AWE as shown above.
The end result is that a hardcore group becomes even more entrenched. Now I have seen some examples of this on the far left, but they don’t seem to get reinforced by media nor do they get the same kind of loud attention from fellow left leaning adherents. Of course here, we tend to actually READ and research which brings down all sorts of Ivory Tower elitist accusations. When did ignorance become a virtue?

Democrats are a funny bunch. Always nervous, never sure.. Never learn from Republicans “wrong and strong” mentality.. The most electable in a general election against any in the clown car is Mrs. Clinton… Haven’t we seen this before from Democrats, Gore and Kerry come to mind. Only Democrats can lose 2016, will they?

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump may have given his most detailed and substantive policy statement yet on Friday’s installment of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Thing is, it came in the form of a scripted comedy sketch in which the actual Trump faced off against his Fallon-esque doppelganger, but delivered specific answers to challenging questions about the American economy, tax policy, the proposal for a wall on the Mexican border, and other pressing issues.

Clinton’s Iran speech, at the Brookings Institution, focused the debate where it needs to go from here: not whether the deal is good or bad (either way, it’s happening) but how to make certain it is implemented in a way most likely to protect the United States and Israel.
In contrast to Republican huffing and puffing about tearing up the agreement on Day One, Clinton described how she would police its enforcement and mitigate its risks, including applying “penalties even for small violations,” increasing military support for Israel and Gulf allies, and cracking down on Iranian proxies Hezbollah and Hamas.
Where E-mail Hillary comes off as prickly and defensive, Brookings Hillary projected toughness, intelligence and command of nuance. She was hardheaded not just about Iran (“This is not the start of some larger diplomatic opening”) but also about Russia (“I am in the category of people who wanted us to do more in response to the annexation of Crimea and the continuing destabilizing of Ukraine”) and Saudi Arabia (“Much of the extremism in the world today is a direct result of policies and funding undertaken by the Saudi government and individuals”). She came off as, well, presidential.
